I applied for a couple jobs on indeed. I received a text from a number saying that they were interested in my applications and that they were Steward Healthcare looking for a data entry specialist to work from home. I went further and they had me get in touch with a [email protected]. He was supposedly the interviewer. They asked pretty normal interview questions, but I found it odd that this was over a messenger. I went with it further trying to get more info from the guy. I decided to check the actual website and did not find my state listed. I asked why and he said they didn't think anyone would find it on the website so why bother. Red flag. Then they wanted to mail a check and have it deposited through an app. If they are providing equipment why send money? I hope I ended it before anything bad happened. They did send an email with a supposed employee confirmation code. I hope that isn't a way for them to access anything. Be extremely leery of work from home offers!
