Found a large cardboard postal envelope in my mail today with my name on it. Opened it up to find a seemingly real $2,950 check and a letter with instructions to start a new job as a Remote Person Assistant. I have never applied or interviewed for similar jobs so I instantly knew this was fake. The Letter proceeds to tell me to deposit the almost $3k check in my bank account and was very adamant on making sure I deposited via E-Mobile Deposit/ATM to "save myself the stress of the banking hall". I have to admit, to the lesser minded, this may come off legit. However, when the letter stated "pls" at the end, I knew 100% this had to be fake.
