I was offered a position as a Payment Processor. I went through a month of training and opened multiple business accounts as part of my 1099 employment. I was told that customers would be making payments through wire transfers. Once those transfers entered my account, I was to immediately withdraw the funds and deposit them into the vendors account. I was told that cash deposits are immediately available and they are able to provide the services to their customers quicker. This process has alerted each bank and automatically closed my accounts. Jason and John Chen have realized that I am no longer a use for them and have abandoned me as of April 15, 2024. They are unreachable and I have no way of contacting them.

I was offered a position online with sterling telecom and did and initial interview over the phone with someone nane Laura. Just as the others my interview went well. I accepted the job sent over my photo and I'd. But no ssn. I'm actually in training now which is actually going well too. I was able to speak to my trainer who said I could call of I had any questions. I haven't Done anything major with any customers as of now but looking at the past responses I am starting to believe I might have potentially been scammed I will reach out to him to inquire more. The job is based out in Korea and the information on sterling telecom matches to this but its honestly hard to truly trust anyone these days. It's sad to say it's no longer safe to make an honest living. SMH.

I got an email from this company pretending to be “sterling telecom” email came from [email protected] and offered a remote position as a “process coordinator” its a 1099 position paid monthly via direct deposit. Upon completion of my telephone interview within 24 hours I got an email saying I was chosen. I needed to upload my social security card, a passport, a drivers license and a selfie to their portal “immediately because training was scheduled for 9am that morning” along with this they wanted my banking info for “direct deposit”

They also overnighted a check “to set up my home office with required equipment”. The check is fake.

I received an email from this company, sterling Telecom. I don’t ever remember applying for the job but I have been filling out applications quite frequently lately so it didn’t seem unusual. They offered an interview over the phone which ended up going well. One thing that was off putting was the fact that the phone service wasn’t great on their end but also it seemed they rest wanted me to hurry up and give them my information for a “background check” so I could start working immediately. The whole thing from the moment I spoke with someone on the phone, just seemed sketchy. Thankfully I didn’t end up filling out their paperwork or providing any of my personal information because I just had a weird feeling. I started researching and stumbled across this ScamPulse.com scam report and I’m thankful I wasn’t hasty in my decision.

I've honestly been contact thrice by them in 3 different timeframes. I'm adding two of the different type of email that I haven't deleted.

I got an email from this company offering me a remote job. My email flagged it as a phishing scam initially. To my curiosity, I inquired about the position and got a phone call interview where my phone brought up a “scam likely” warning. When I called the number back after receiving an email stating they tried to reach me, I was told to hang up so they may call me which was weird how stern this lady sounded when I called her. She called me back and began asking me questions that seemed like a series of mundane questions, some I could barely make out since I didn’t understand the question, I didn’t have the opportunity to ask any questions at the end, and the next day I received an email saying I got the job. If I was the hiring manager with the answers I gave I wouldn’t have hired me. Something fishy is going on and it made sense to the previous email, and phone call warnings I had received. I don’t feel comfortable giving out my information so freely to a company that seemingly uses AI generated images of their “employees” on their website. I would avoid at all cost.

I received an email that seemed a little sketchy. The email title just said HR and stated that they had viewed my resume on Monster.com but i have never been om that job site. Upon replying to thew email, I was offered an interview with Sterling Telecom as a Partnership Program Coordinator. I did a phone interview which included my experiences working in Customer Service and also I was told about the company along with what I would do in the position. During the phone interview, I was told that the company was based out of Japan, that I would be working from 9am to 1pm Monday through Friday with an income of over $2400 monthly or I could get paid hourly. I also stated that I had never put my resume on the Monster job site but that didn't matter. A day later, I was told that I was accepted for the position and to sign a contract, which looked legit and was asked to send my work credentials, front and back along with a selfie holding my ID in order to verify that I was a US citizen. I have felt very uneasy about this job because of the emails, the way the interview call was handled, and the pay amount. The HR representatives name is Rani Liam, 888-683-4911, 202-389-6492. I only signed the contract but have not sent any of my credentials, ID. SScard, etc. This job and the details are very sketchy, it also included payment to others.

Company name: Sterling Telecom, Address:198 Kumkwang 1-Dong, Jungwon-Gu, Seoul. Company Official: Li Mok Wun
