I received a call from someone on behalf of Sterling and Associates stating that I missed a court date in a county that I haven't lived in for 11 years and that they were going to contact my employer. They stated that i owed money from a loan I received but were unable to tell me the original lender and amount. They proceeded to tell me that the court date was related to some fraud on my bank account... and that they attempted to contact me but did not give me any dates or times for the contact. Then miraculously there was no court stuff anymore and they wanted me to pay this alleged debt. I made arrangements with them then contacted the magistrate court in that county and the surrounding county and there was no court date or proceedings. I also contacted my attorney and they indicated this was a scam. This company did this to me one other time and receive 1200 dollars from me. I am not making that mistake again.
