I was called from number 718-873-9187 and they left a voice mail stating I was in violation of some legal manner and that if I was going to wait to call back, I would need a lawyer since legal action would be taken against me. The caller was supposedly working for the State Treasury. He had a very heavy Indian/Middle Eastern accent and gave me a name but I could not understand it on the message. I attempted to return the call but all I got was a busy signal. I googled the number and found a page with many people who had the same call and understood more information. All stated the caller was from US Treasury or State Treasury telling them they were in violation of some law and needed a lawyer.

This Man name David Gray called and left a message that if I did not contact them I could be subjected to a federal offense and grand jury. He said that he was calling from the State Treasury. I called the Number who called me 229-231-2342. A man *** *** *** said I owed taxes from 2011. I told him I do not this is a scam and he quickly hung up. Clearly this is fraud, please look up the phone number and nab this ***. 229-231-3342 was the number that called me. The state treasury does not call people to collect back taxes. Please stop these scamers.
