I can't begin to explain the terrible experience we had working with State to State Logistics and how we were completely taken advantage of. To begin, their estimate was WAY OFF. I let them know what I had, and while I did have more boxes than anticipated, all furniture had been listed for the estimate so there is NO WAY the sq footage was that far off. My total charges were approximately 130% more than what they estimated and I was only given the amount of the difference once all my household items were already on the truck and I had no choice but to allow them to continue or my things would have been all over the street.

The next issue was being told the pickup date would not be honored after I had been VERY SPECIFIC about the narrow window we had and that we needed a commitment on that. They wanted to come a day early (before I was even in town to let them into the property) and then they said they would be two days late which threw off our travel plans completely and caused us to jump through major hoops to rearrange plans. I was told we would get a $100 discount on the total cost to compensate for this.

After that, we were told the goods would be delivered by July 29th (we asked them to hold after picking up on June 29th). On July 29th, I finally got in touch with someone and they said it was late and would not be until maybe the first week of August. It didn't come then either. Then, it would be later in August, then September... hopefully by September 21st and that they would give us at least 12-24 hours notice (still not really sufficient). Almost TWO MONTHS after we were originally supposed to be receiving it. The whole time this was happening it was impossible to get in touch with anyone at the company or a drive to find out the status of the shipment. I thought my things had been lost or stolen and could get no assurances from them. They called out of the blue on Friday the 12th at 12:41pm asking if they could drop the shipment off basically right then!!! No notice whatsoever. The driver settled on 6pm (5 hours later) b/c we did not even have a storage unit arranged and were not even at home to deal with it. I told the driver that due to the short notice, cash or a cashier check could not be arranged. They showed up and would not take a credit card. We had no way to pay for them to drop the goods off even though the company was PERFECTLY CAPABLE of running a credit card payment. Clearly the reason they do not do this is b/c they fear people will cancel the payments since they are in the habit of screwing customers over. We had to move money using our phones from various accounts in order to zelle them the funds in order for them to give us our things. While they did offer a VERY INADEQUATE discount for being so late, they were completely inflexible on the payment method despite their lack of any notification to us, would not help us on the phone and continued to hang up on us repeatedly when we tried to speak to management about it.

Moving?
Do it yourself if you don’t wanna get rip off on the day of
your move.
The moving company gives one estimate over the phone and then on time to move they raise the price double or even triple sometimes even more.
The dot (department of transportation) supposed to be the ones watching those moving companies and assist when needed but the truth
They don’t give a damm
That’s why moving companies can get a way with and continues to ripoff customers
Nobody can stop them
They change business name every couple years and they keep staying and doing that

Rent a Truck and move yourself
You won’t be regretting
You’ll have less broken furniture and missing items.
They steal everything they need or can be sold .
Your free insurance they offer is $.60 per pound and even that you wish you’ll get.
