State Street Global Services Reports & Reviews (1)

- Sandy Hook, CT, USA

I applied for jobs on indeed.com and jobhat.com I received a text message from (402) 285-8035 Saying his name was Raymond Heather the COO of the firm State Street Global Services. He stated my resume was viewed online and forwarded to our head of department and was considered for a work at home position. He listed available positions and to text him back YES if interested. He then text me if I had zoom, Skype, hangout or telegram to proceed with a job briefing and an interview with who he claimed to be the head of the HR department Diana M. Lapointe. I began a "Zoom" meeting with the email address given to me, [email protected]. Initially it seemed legitimate. First flag was that it was on Zoom messenger and there was no face to face zoom meeting. I was then told I was hired and I would be receiving a company computer and a sign on bonus along with paid training to start the very next day (Wednesday May 5th, 2021) under the condition that I send $300 for time tracker software to be installed on the laptop they were sending me. The asked if I used PayPal or Venmo. I had used Venmo and sent it the Venmo account "ryy_petersen". Any questions I had were always answered with the assurance of legitimacy of the interview and the company. I then was asked for an iTunes gift card in the amount of $250 for software again for the computer I was to use. When asked to send $900 for workbooks is when I told them I could not afford that and "Diana" said she would get in touch with financial and see if they can front me my bonus of $1500. She then sent an electronic check for $1500 from the company NWSS McMinnville Storage LLC, Client Trust Account, 5005 Meadows Road Suite 420, Lake Oswego, OR 97035. I deposited this check into my account and the next day $200 of it cleared. Then today May 7th, 2021 the check bounced and I as charged for all the fees. When I contacted Diana again, I told her if I did not receive the money back I was reporting to the FTC (which I did) I also called the phone number that sent the original job text message and he stumbled upon his words and clearly knew they had been found out.
