Caller stated from MD State Police Lodge soliciting donations. Asked for 55,75 or 95 dollar donations. Expressed discomfort providing information over the phone. Stated they would collect no personal information, but then asked for confirmation of name and address. Asked why state police would not be able to look up that information using their database of MD residents. Caller became uncomfortable and stated they could not send packet for donation in the mail with the FOP decal if they could not confirm address. Expressed further discomfort giving any personal information over the phone. Instructed to send packet to address on file, as they had called me, and I would decide about donation at that time. I will update this file if anything ever comes in the mail.
