I was trying to download an app on my phone and was redirected to this company. The scammers gained access to my Bank card info which was stored on my phone.

Was registering for meeting with the American Legion. After filling out the form. another form popped up asking for information for free membership. I thought it was the process for the American Legion as I couldn't go past that page without filling in the information. It stated that my membership was free and that my credit card would not be charged. I was hesitant but I accidentally hit the button. I went back into the siter and saw that my card will be charged in Aug.2024. I went on the website to cancel this membership and a scam warning appeared. I immediately called my credit card company and had them close that account, but they had already put thru two charges one for $1.95 and one for $1.00. Since these charges are pending, I have to wait for them to post before I can dispute the charge.
