Once the puppy was with the shippers, StarBridge Pet Movers, suddenly their were additional fees that needed to be paid. They requested an additional $1250, supposedly refundable, for an Insurance Policy and a Covid-19 test for the puppy. We complied with this request, seeing it was refundable. That payment was made to a Shante McCord, and not the company, should have set off alarms, but he was listed on their letter head as the person charged with securing Insurance Policies, that day.
They then informed me the payment came thru too late, and the puppy was staying over night and flying out the next morning. Then they inform me the puppy had to fly into Washington DC airport, which has other restriction, and another $1850 is needed immediately to release the puppy for flight to Providence.
This is a money scam. Most likely no puppy exists. I am also reporting the "breeder".
