Scam Organisation

I registered for their Mental Health conference held in London in July 2022. I paid the amount in full and quite a lot in advance. As the date came close I started to ask them about accommodation and venue and other details upon which they informed me that the dates have been moved and shifted to October. Several months later this date was also cancelled and I was told that a refund will be issued to me. This happened in September last year and since then I have been relentlessly trying to contact them but I have been ghosted. Emails don't get delivered to them, their website isn't working and the whatsapp person just leaves messages unread. I am pursuing legal actions against them.

There were a variety of engaging and informative presentations as well as practical applications included in the presentations. In addition to the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere created by the organizers, I appreciated the chance to network with other professionals. As a whole, I found this conference to be a valuable experience that contributed to my professional growth.

Several scientific conferences have been held on hypnosis. As a clinical treatment, hypnosis has interested me because of its effectiveness and how it works. Currently, hypnosis research is divided more between academics and clinicians. From such events, you'll learn how it works and how effective it is.
One such event I attended a few months back was great. One such event was organized by Star conferences, which was a great success."

Hello, I was invited to Speak at one of their conferences in Paris. They chased and chased and chased me to register and make the payment. My life circumstances changed and I was unable to make it. I notified them over 3 months prior to the program dates and requested a refund. As should be the professional thing to do. I have yet to receive a refund let alone a response. They have pretty much ghosted me.

International Summit on Robotics held by Star Conference was a great initiative explaining the need of Robotics in future. We really enjoyed felt so incredibly special to be part of such an innovative event. It was a brilliant networking opportunity, everyone was so friendly and always excited to meet new people. I got some great advice on how to grow my business, as well as listening to inspirational speakers who share their own experiences!

Networking Opportunity

I was approached by the team for their conference on Cloud Computing and was a bit skeptical about it. however thought of giving it a try. I would definitely say it was the best guess I made ever. The conference held was very informational and gave great opportunities on networking with the like minded people. The initial phase might have seemed a bit dicey to me but other than that it was great. The speakers were knowledgeable and knew what they were speaking. Just needs to work on their approach to get us onboard.

Educative session but needs to be specific

Participated in Dental conference earlier this month and felt it was worth to participate as it provided me an effective way to share information about my research and meet new people from the same field, who might have interest in my research. I would in fact suggest them to have a better approach as initially I thought it was just a pre recorded video meet but they had called speakers. Need to be specific in that aspect

"I am a neurologist and was suggested by my partner doctor to visit their conference. I was informed it would be an informative session with fellow doctors which was right to an extent. It was quite informative session and got to know a lot of new expects in neurology however it was not entirely informative. They had networking sessions as well with the other fellow mates.
Would appreciate if they could clarify in future the type of event. However, rest all was great."

Star Conferences owner is Varma Bhupatiraju, here is his linkedin. Same picture on facebook. He used a fake female linkedin account to convince people to pay to present at his webinars.

Everyone from the LinkedIn profiles is from India yet the conference I'm invited to is on Spain. The 'fellow' speakers mentioned ain't even posting about it...and I have to pay instead of being paid? And the grammar is terrible yet it's supposedly a big event?strange

This is a scam. After refusing to pay the exorbitant conference fees, the organiser still insisted that I pay up. There was no understanding. Stay away.
Don't pay them ANY money. I am a TA with an educational specialism and they invited me to speak about Dementia, which I have no knowledge about professionally.
There is no way on Earth that any credible organisation would do that.
I know it is nice to be invited to share knowledge and expertise, but this is not the place to do it.
I stand by every word of what I say

I received this friendship request, and soon after this invitation to present at a "conference" in Canada this May, 2021. It never felt legitimate to me. I said no thank you. Then I got a link to pay $299.00 to present on-line. I tuned in with intuition, and on-line research, and I believe this to be a totally fraudulent scam, that does not even present as realistic or authentic in any way, upon my review. I agree with the individual here, who states that it is a scam to get money from "presenters" who end up only looted at best for something non-existent! The Facebook Fan page

Remember, some of the reports here, contrary, may simply be people lying. Thanks "buyer beware!

Yet as the Facebook presence began, only in September 2020, and this appears to be a known "phishing scam," I will block the fakey profile with no ream authentic human photo representing it! And will report them, and warn my 3300 or so friends!

Apparently Psychologists receive boatloads of such phishing scams! Thank you.

They just approached me. I have a PhD, and I'm a specialist in my field, but they invited me to be a speaker in a completely unrelated branch of psychology. I don't want to sound unfair, but I thought, "What fool would invite someone as a speaker for a topic in which they are unqualified?"

That's why I'm here on a scam review site. I'll treat them as scammers.

I was invited to be a speaker at this conference and to submit a paper for peer review.
I asked who the chair was and the arrangements for paying my expenses and any speaker fees. This was the response.

I had the same response! This is so unfortunate. Their attendees will all be presenters who paid to present and attend. I assume they will not shell out a dime to anyone. The person who gets the $1k for best speaker will probably be a plant who works for the group. I'm glad I did a little Google search and found your posts before committing to thousands of dollars to travel to Toronto. Perhaps not a scam, but definitely exploitative.

I have been approached by them to invite me as an speaker and asking for almost 2000$. They keep insisting. Furthermore if you look into their webpage you can see the amount of conferences that they are suppose to be hosting, I believe it is not plausible, although I can´t confirm this is a scam, it sure seems like it.
