It started off as a real or what seemed real interview over text, which threw me off, but for a position that I did apply to on LinkedIn. After a quick interview over text, they said they’re going to send my responses to HR to review but they reviewed it really quick I think after an hour they sent me an email saying congratulations. Then the conversation went further saying that the next step is to get the equipment to start working and I said OK do you have my address so you can send it to me since it was a remote job and they said no they’re gonna send me a $5000 check that they want me to deposit in my personal bank and then gave me a list of items I needed to buy to work from home, including a table, which I thought was strange
