On December 10, 2020 @ 12:37pm, I received a call from 225-644-3161 as identified on my caller ID. I answered Because it was from our local hospital. It was a recording, a woman’s voice stating that Social Security had detected my number being fraudulently compromised in South Texas. To speak to someone, choose #1. So, I immediately hung up, and did not reply to the prompt. A few minutes later, I dialed the number back since it was a local number in case it was the hospital and of course it was not a working number. I contacted St. Elizabeth Hospital Business Office and spoke with someone who confirmed it was a scam and to notify the BBB. After contacting the BBB, it was confirmed as a scam and to proceed to the ScamPulse.com website to report it. This is my report submitted to prevent other possible victims from being scammed.
