We were looking for a breeders for a Portuguese Water Dog and came across Springwindpwds.com. Price was much cheaper than other breeders. However they sent videos, pictures of the supposed parents, had interview questions, application, phone number, email address, customer reviews, a Google ad in the search engine, and a full story with family pictures with the dogs they breed. Once they received our money they continued to keep in contact with us and sent us the shipping details with flight information, departure/arrival times and a tracking number which actually appeared to work and track the puppy throughout the delivery process. Around the time when it was suppose to arrive we received and email saying it was stuck at the airport because it needed a Covid test and insurance. We had to pay $850 more to get that done to complete the shipment. They asked to pay in Bitcoin. I called the breeder and they answered claiming they did know that his would happen but we would need to pay. They said they would reimburse us upon delivery. Needless to say we did not pay. Also note, the site is still active when using a smart phone but when we went to pull it up on our PC, our virus software flagged it as a scam site. I have fortunately retained all screenshots, recorded phone call, emails, videos, and texts. It is also a known scam that the FBI is tracking so I have filled out a report with them and with our local police department.
