I was called by this business that stated they were debt collectors, and needed to verify my address and social security numbers. I hung up immediately, but then called them back because I received an email stating my credit had delinquent account on it. Its two ladies and they have a recording on the number saying they are trying to collect a debt. They said I owed a debt or personal loan. I told them I did not and then I checked my credit report to make sure. They said they were 3rd party collectors and could not provide a number to the original loan company. they gave me this false account number. I called the company I thought they were talking about and the company did not have an account listed under my number. I am concerned because I gave them my social security number. They used an old address of mine and when I accused them of being scammers, they said they would report this incident to the fraud department. They were the scammers.

Someone by the name of Mr. Bernstein left a message on my voicemail saying it was imperative that i call them. I returned the call and he claims to be representing spot loan saying that a lawsuit was pending against me and if i didn't agree to pay he would file the lawsuit against me. I do remember dealing with this company over 4 yrs ago but i haven't been contacted by anyone until now claiming to represent the business. When i told the man that i would like to speak with someone from spot loan first i was told they would document my file as refusal and proceed with the suit.
