This company advertised a work from home data entry opportunity. They required purchasing some of the start up material. I was given a certificate of authenticity of the company with promise of full reimbursement. $300 later the 'reimbursement' was returned by my credit card. Then the 'delivery truck' had an accident, so not only did I have to start all over and spend MORE money but the materials would not be delivered on time either. I then gave them the information to my actual checking account to send the funds, Chase said the checks they were trying to deposit were NOT VALID. Now I can say that I did have a few smaller red flags that this opportunity could be a scam but when I'd go to back out they'd send more proof of legitimacy and my family really needed the extra funds so I continued, I do accept responsibility in part because it was just an "I should have known better" kind of thing but the peer pressure when you go to back out is INSANE I Was told no multiple times. I was harrassed if I did not answer messages or emails immediately. So I wasted about two weeks $300 and so much anxiety/stress/time on an opportunity that provided NOTHING in return. In fact now that I have put my foot down in saying I am done entirely, I am still being bombarded to "just open another credit card and we will return the funds ma'am" I have made it clear that I will no longer be participating, I have reported it as scam to my bank and am now reporting it here because if I can stop one person from dragging themselves through this that will be worth it. This company uses bully like methods and harassment to get people to purchase gift cards and get personal account information. They then act as if you are not allowed to pull back or say now and most importantly if they do send a "reimbursement check" it will bounce and you get left with the reprocautions. So please DO NOT fall for this. I responded to an add on facebook originally but have also seen it on craigslist, they can provide documents to seem legitimate but they are NOT. Please always trust your gut, and if it seems too good to be true it probably is.
