I am a Cash App customer who read online that i should be able to add cash to my cash app acct at certain stores. I needed to find a way to get my rent money loaded to my Cash app because that's the only way our landlord accepts payment. After hours of attempting and and no success i tried calling what i thought was a Cash app help desk i was instructed to go into Walmart and purchase google play gift card and they would be able to redeem them for cash to my cash app account. I was so desperate at that time. I even asked the agent about whether or not it was a scam. I bought Google play gift cards totalling $1000 while he remained on the line and then he guided me through the rest. He told me it was no longer allowed but he was gonna help me out. The money never posted to my Cash App account and now I'm out $1000 and unable to pay my rent.
