Consumer received call on 6/3/21 from man (Harry Miller) who claimed to be from Spectrum. He said he wanted to check her boxes and TV because there was a problem in her area and she may need a new one. He claimed that she did have a problem and asked for $180.00 a 'one time' charge. He said she would receive a $15.00 discount every month for 2 years. She gave him her credit card number. Last night, she called her credit card company and reported this and froze the card. Another representative named Mike called on 6/4 and said they would take the money out today and she told him she knew it was a scam. He claims it was not a scam and to be calling from Star Energy. He hung up when she refused to authorize payment. Today she closed the credit card account.
