This person contacted me today about an account with IBC bank from 2011. They insisted that I pay today without any paperwork in my hand. It was a one time offer and they actually hung up on me. I did have a bank account with that bank for about 4 months. I closed it out due to the branch in my town was being closed down. I did not use the account for about 4 weeks and went in to the branch to close it out. They didn't care about my situation or any information I provided by phone. They insisted that I needed a receipt from the bank...and the cancelled check is the receipt. Since my home burned to the ground in August, if there was a receipt, it is gone now.
