I got a call at 8:45 this morning informing me that my cable box needed to be updated I was instructed to turn off the TV and they would update the box. I did as instructed because we had troubles with the cable. They had information from the cable company. They told me how long I have been with the cable company they told me how much I paid for my bill. They wanted to knock $30 off my bill a month for 2 years because I was a good customer. then they said the charge to upgrade the cable box would be $250. I called the cable company while my wife held the phone the cable company said there was nothing going on like that so I told my wife to just hang up but in the meantime she hung up and they called her back so we have two telephone numbers from the person that called us. The person was hard to hear. She talked fast. My wife asked her to speak slower, and she did for a short time and sped up later. My wife suspected she deliberately did that to confuse.

The information off my telephone said the number was 208 450 3839. That was 8:47AM. The call back was from 1 973 275 8492. That was "South Orange, NJ" at 9:03AM
