Called with my name and said my electric would be turned off in 30-45 minutes if I don't pay my bill..I said I don't know what your talking about..I don't have an account with you they said hold on..put me on hold I waited five minutes and hung up they had my name

This person called me to ask me if I received an overdue bill from my power company, which is pink. He said that they’ve been trying to get a hold of me.

I responded, “I have no idea what you are talking about,” and he immediately hung up.

I heard of a scam where they record a snippet of your voice and mimic it for all kinds of illegal activities, mainly stealing your identity. I suspect that this was one of these.
