Our local newspaper reported a scam where by the caller tries to get you to say "yes" and records your voice to enroll you in programs or sales of some kind. They said the caller asks "Can you hear me?" to prompt you to say "yes". I just received a phone call with a male caller who identified self as some sort of survey taker and said "can you hear me?' I did not respond at all since I had read this scam in the news paper and just hung up. My phone recorded the phone number of the caller.
