I received a phone call on September 14, 2017 at 12:14pm from an individual stating that they were calling from Solomon & Stern Associates. They asked if I had received a letter from them about my winning a sweepstakes. I responded, no. They asked if I had entered some clearing house sweepstakes and that I had won the 2nd place prize of $500,000.00. That prize was to be delivered to me on Sept. 18, 2017 between 9-11 a.m. I was then asked how did I feel about winning a half of a million dollars. Then, the individual said that they needed to record the call and that I was not to reveal any personal information. After the recording, I was suppose to be transferred to a lead attorney representing the prize organization to discuss the best tax position to receive the dollars. When I said that I had my own tax attorney, somehow the call was disconnected on my landline. I tried to call them back and got a message that my call did not go through and please try your call again. I called the ScamPulse.com in Ohio and they did not find a law firm or organization with the name Solomon & Stern Associates.
