Type of a scam Online Purchase
I tried emailing this vendor on April 8, 11, and 14, 2018 to finalize our wedding timeline and details. We finally got a response on April 14, 2018. We didn’t hear anything again from this vendor until May 2, 2018. He emailed us to tell us only that all is set and Justin will attend to video the wedding. We told him in numerous responses that we did not hire Justin. We hired him. We do not know Justin or his work. We asked for Justin’s phone number, which he would not provide to us. We told him we expect him there as hired. He responds back with being sick on bed rest. This was never mentioned in the many emails prior within the same day. Therefore, we didn’t believe his excuses. Please see attached email correspondence via The Knot website.
Only in previous emails did he state himself or Michelle would video our wedding after we viewed samples of their work on the Solace Wedding website. Nothing ever was mentioned of any other videographers on his team. I tried calling John after this email only to learn when you call his phone number listed 619-633-3454 it has a message telling you to call 1-800-606-2601. This number is answered as a restoration company!
We have since done some research on John Clark. We have learned to believe his company is fraudulent and has operated other companies with the same purpose, to scam bride and grooms. It appears he runs under the name of John Clark, but his name is Jesse F. Clark. This person was even charged with this fraud in 2013 under SureShot Portraits in Massachusetts and ordered to pay $*** for scamming couples. He is currently running another company in the Los Angeles area as well under the name Rila Stone LLC. I have included the LLC documents for these companies. We found out this information on reviews we looked up after this happened to us. Please see attached reviews from the following sources.
