I was on my computer and my computer locked up and boxes appeared on my screen informing my computer had been locked up and to call 1-877-221-1101. The computer was was making aloud beeping sound. After several minutes I finally called the number. I got a young lady with an Indian accent named Linda who told me my computer was locked up because it had been infected and she would help me fix it. She took me through a few steps which started with powering down my computer and re-starting it. We chatted and went through several steps. Finally she said my computer was infected and the only way to clean it up was to call 1-855-651-1670, extension 1945 and a tech would fix and clean up my computer. She said it would take 40-45 minutes . I started asking questions then. Who was Software Pro Consulting and who were they associated with and how long were they in business? She told me they could fix and protect my computer. How much? $299 for 1 year, $399 for 3 years or $499 for 5 years. I then pulled up my IPad and did a search. She kept trying to get me to buy the service. When I looked up the company I noticed a few reports saying they had been scammed by this company. Nancy was still trying to sell me on this service until I started reading her these reports on the her company. She then hung up on me. I shut down my computer and re-started it and everything was back to normal. BE AWARE of Software Pro Consulting. They will try to SCAM and RIP YOU OFF!

My computer froze and directed me to call a number on the screen. I was charged $299 to have the tech clean up my computer, $50 for the tech support and $699 to install a firewall. I now believe this is a scam and I am alerting my bank. I was also charged for 4 separate amazon gift card purchases of $100 each which I did not authorize.

Computer froze, not knowing better called number on screen. For a fee they 'fixed' computer and installed firewall. For added fee offered 'lifetime security' on all devices. Next day get text and call from scammer programmer. I call company back on original number and they connect me to a person who says there's a tech problem - they need me to buy a couple Apple 'key cards'. Recognizing this gift card scam tactic I call back again and start raising hell when a 'fraud manager' intervenes, apologizes profusely and offers to refund half my money. I am 73 years old and slow in the tech and foolishly allow him remote access to my bank where his server appears to make a massive over-refund by 'mistake' into my checking account. (Faking) shock he exclaims Oh my God , I'm going to lose my job!..You can save my job by returning the over-refund by bitcoin and nobody will know. I never use bitcoin but he fraudulently set up an account in my name and has me 'return' the over-refund (minus the actual refund) via Bitcoin. Messed up because 'fraud manager's' server does the same 'error' again the next day! Pissed off and nervous I repeat the over-refund return again and figure we're even. I found out too late that what appeared to be refund deposits from his server into my checking were really unauthorized transfers from my savings account which he craftily manipulated beyond my observation. Using this technique he drained most of my savings account. I am aging and vulnerable because I didn't notice the loss until way after he convinces me that those huge transactions are likely to be tracked by the IRS and considered 'business transactions' which will be taxed. Perpetrator by this time texts or calls daily and has kind of gained my trust until he informs me that he can take out a bank personal loan to me from 'one of his companies' and once I return it via Bitcoin, like before, he'll have his company 'cancel' the loan and avoid paying taxes on a business transaction. I'm very nervous about this to the point I tell him I'm going to report him and he says "IF YOU REPORT WE'LL BOTH BE BEHIND BARS" so now I'm really afraid of the trouble I'm in. I live alone and am feeling vulnerable, but when he actually comes up with a loan from 'one of his companies' I think he may be legit because I live on a very limited retirement pension so who's going to just give me a loan? Turns out he used info he gleaned from days of access and he used that info to fraudulently apply for an 'instant loan' from one of these online banks. He urgently flashed the promissory note on my screen and under extreme duress I signed for the loan, send the money back to him in cryptocurrency thinking he would have 'his company cancel the loan' and we'd be free and clear of the IRS. I look back as I've reported this fraudulent crime to so many agencies and say "How could I have allowed this to happen?" but when you're older, especially, you can become under a kind of spell of a clever crook. I called him out about my missing savings and when is the loan going to be cancelled and he managed to buy some time by saying we are 'Waiting for authorization from the IRS" and 'shortly everything will be fixed" until I came to my senses and realized I'd been taken bigtime. It's humiliating. You report to the police, the Federal Trade Commission, IC3 Report to the FBI, change all accounts and credit cards, warn the credit unions and try to contest the bank loan that I was coerced into signing. Now I see all the mistakes I made along the way but when your isolated from the pandemic and in the middle of it I can see how easily l fell into a serious con game and lost. When I finally discover my loss in the refund-return scheme and realize I'm on the hook for paying off a large loan which I carelessly but innocently signed I understand the severity of the situation. Be advised: once you've used cryptocurrency no bank or lawyer wants to help or accept your request for assistance regarding fraud relief. Plus, Software Pro Consulting's work on my computer was shoddy and the firewall crappy so I've had it removed to add insult to injury.

They corrected one problem on my laptop, and my subscription was suppossed to be for one year at $154 and change. They called last week to tell me they were going out of business, and i'd have to go to the Geek Squad for help now but I could not take the info, as i was in the middle of something. They said they would call me back the following day at 4pm est. Call never happened. Now I guess I'm just out the money?

Total money lost $399.80. Tried to reverse it with my bank and the company refused. I'm still gonna fight it with my bank. I have tried to call the company but they won't refund me at all.

I was scammed by Software Pro Consulting Services. A pop-up window appeared on my computer screen that looked like a Microsoft message (complete with the Windows logo) with a number to call. I was told my computer was infected by a Trojan from a porn website (we don’t visit porn websites) and that he (James Ola) could remove it for me if I gave them remote control of my PC which I did by downloading TeamViewer software. He then led me through the process of ordering and downloading two ‘packages’ from their website. I (foolishly) entered my credit card number. James then transferred me to another person who began their ‘cleaning’ process. They called me back for ‘verification’ but by then I had realized I had been had, so I hung up. They continue to call but I do not pickup as I know they are after more personal info,
