Type of a scam Romance
Pretended to be a 25-year-old Psychologist working for the company Campus Vacations during a young girl's time in the Dominican Republic for her grad trip. He harassed her for sexual acts during the trip which she declined, finding his advances to be creepy. When she returned home he continued to speak with her; after some time, she was won over by his false life stories and charm. The pair pursued a relationship for a total of 7 months. During this time, he got her to give money under the excuse that e-transferring her back was not possible (despite that they used the same bank). He always promised that he would pay her back in person. At one time, he paid her back as much as 500$ in fake American bills (she is Canadian). During Christmas she told him that she wanted to come to see him, he screamed at her for using her money to come and see him when he was in 4 grand of credit card debt (he had never paid for anything for her, so that was not her fault nor concern). She then realized that he was insisting that she use her own money to pay for his debt instead of a flight, despite that he hadn't spoken to her in a long period of time. She immediately told him she would contact the authorities if he did not send all the money he owed from the past and also refund her for the fake money he had given months ago. He disappeared off the face of the earth and they haven’t spoken since.
He very quickly moved to West Springfield, MA to work (he only has a bachelor’s degree, he isn’t a psychologist, and is 30 years old). He was emotionally, physically, and mentally abusive on a number of occasions. He would threaten her or threaten to break off the relationship if she did not do exactly what he wanted at all times, even if she expressed to him that she was uncomfortable. Months after he disappeared, he called her phone from a blocked number crying and apologizing and asking to be friends. He then invited her to join this online messaging app called Telegram and when she logged in she was ambushed with messages from other DR numbers telling her multiple ways to commit suicide and to not tell anyone the story of what he has done. We have uncovered that he has a very violent history of doing this to multiple women, as many individuals have come forward to share similar circumstances and experiences involving him. Many women have had to seek therapy to deal with the psychological effects of his long term emotional and sexual abuse, combined with losing many funds to someone living a false life.
Please be very careful if you live in this area as he is very manipulative.
