Recently applied for SSDI last week. The call initially was a recording stating that I have violated social security and will be arrested if you do not speak to an agent. I waited for an 'agent' and said this call sounds suspicious. The caller said that yes, there is suspicious activity. I repeated this phone call is suspicious and told them not to call back. Social Security does not conduct business in this manner, so that was a big red flag, as well as the threat of arrest if I don't comply with their demands.
