There was a voice mail left on my home land line this afternoon. It was obviously a recorded message because the man's voice was already speaking and in the middle of a sentence when the beep on my end sounded to let someone know when to leave a message. "just to inform you legal enforcement actions were going to be taken against me because of illegal activity connected to my social security number." If I called 210 255 2488 immediately before this legal procedure was started there were actions I could take to avoid this situation. The phone number was repeated several times.

The Person (man voice) on the phone wanted my social security number he said the police was looking for me and he could help me but, he needed my SS#. I asked him to give me his government Id number and he really got ugly with me and said he bet the police would be picking me up in the future if I didn't let him help me. This person wouldn't answer any of my question so I hung up the phone.

Caller stated that the person who called her was from Indiana and stated that her social security was being mis-used as fraud and if she could verify her social he could get it straighten out for her. She declined and hung up.

A caller called and stated that she received a phone call from Indiana and the person had an accent and was calling to let her know that her social security had been expired if she could verify her social for him. She did not give him any information and hung up.

Voicemail left on my phone: This phone call from our department is to inform you that there's legal enforcement actions filed on your Social Security number for criminal activities so when you get this message kindly call back to us at the earliest on our number that is 832-699-0360 I repeat 832-699-0360 before we begin with the legal proceedings thank you and have a nice day

ScamPulse.com received a call from a consumer and reported the following: I received a message on caller id from a male with a good strong voice that was very well spoken. The message said the individual needed to get into touch with them immediately because their social security was compromised. The caller id read the business name as Ketchum and the phone number was (208)806-1817. The consumer did not call the number back because she said she knew it was a scam.
