James Cole badge# SFA 706842 called from social security ‘headquarters’ in Washington DC address 500 E NW St from Dept of ‘money laundering and drug enforcement’ law division regarding SSN theft and misuse of my identity connected to Texas car rental and multiple bank accounts. Action pending given identify theft including my needing to appear ‘in court’. Needed more Information to ‘process’ the case. Case ID # provided. When refused. Agent was unable to name govt agency, and would not forward to supervisor unless verification was provided. Provided a call back number as 410 965 1234 (general SSN) and the ‘commission’ 202 358 6000. Call was being ‘recorded’. Finally forwarded to senior officer ‘Leroy Jones’ who was a SSN attorney assigned to the case who also could not provide basic verification information. I asked whether he had my telephone number and would be willing to call me back. Call concluded.

The call consisted of an automated message first stating my Social Security # had been used for fraudulent activity. Then a lady stating her name and her place of work (Social Security Headquarters) got on the line. She stated my Social Security # was associated with illegal activity and listed of 7 bank accounts asking if i had accounts with any of them. She then gave me a Case # and asked if i had addresses somewhere in Texas. She then said she was send a report to the US Marshall Service as well as my local police department. She asked me to Google the police department and confirm the phone number. When i did she said I should receive a call from them while on the line with her. When i received the call she told me to answer it. When i did it was a guy saying he was with the Glen Carbon Police. I asked for his badge # and asked how long he was with the department. Then i told him i was calling the Police Department to confirm he worked there. That's when he hung up. I called the original number back the lady called from and it was a lady in Granite City that had know idea what i was talking about. Both initial callers had a thick accent.

The person called spent 30 minutes on phone with him. He stated his name was Shane Marker calling from the Social Security Headquarters. He also stated he is calling because my social security number links to drug trafficking and laundering money. He yelled and stated I am on a recorded line so dont lie about anything he asked me. He proceeded to ask me about my bank accounts who all I bank with and how much money I have in each account. He stated I have an arrest warrant out and a case number.
