I was contacted today, 04/12/2021 @ 3:04pm. From a number I didn’t recognize, but it’s listed as a local number, so in return I answered. After saying hello I was then greeted by a computer using a distorted Mans voice saying, hello this is the Investigation Department informing you about a flag issued on your social security number from the social security office due to unusual activity I needed to immediately press key 1 to be connected with a security social employee to check if my SSN was in fact the same number as the one in reference to the the call. I pressed 1 to be connected but was then hung up on before I got to speak to anyone. (Yes I know it’s a scam I was trying to get more information from them to report on here) but I didn’t get the chance to.
