Was very scary. When I tried to activate my Hulu account. I went on the computer to input a code provided on my TV screen. Then a notice saying that I had to call a number to verify the account, a guy with a heavy Indian or Pakistani accent made me install the Desk anytime app. Then told me that I had clicked by accident and Hulu had charged me 169 dollars. He wanted to guide me through the refund process and was sent a code, when he asked me to repeat the code, the amount refunded appeared to be1690 dollars, he said that I had to return 1500 dollars and told me to go to the closest Amazon store. I hanged up and called my bank. Uninstalled the app and changed most of my accounts passwords. Please do something about that app desk anytime. A real technician used from Netgear, to fix a problem on my modem. He guided me through and fixed the problem, that is why I allowed this scammer to get so far. I’m not usually a very trusting person. There must be a way for technicians to identify themselves before asking a client to download this app. In the case of Netgear, he gave me the same phone number that the other tech lady has giving to my husband before.
