On Nov 24, 2016 I completed a Shaw Cable survey with a promise of "reward". I chose facial creams from Smooth Skin and Face Health London for shipping costs only. The products arrived. Today, Dec 16, 2016, I discovered that exactly 2 weeks later on Dec 8, 2016 my Visa bill was charged $121.85 (89.95 US) from SmoothSkinLondon and $135.40 (99.95 US) from FacialHealthLondon. I did NOT order MORE cream. I called Visa to report the fraud and was advised that it was a Dispute and to call the company directly. The Smooth Skin agent said that I should have read the "terms and conditions" as they indicate if not satisfied, the "sample" products must be returned within 14 days or I would be charged the full amount. I read a portion of the terms and conditions, but obviously did not see this clause. There was NOTHING on the shipping documents relative to this 14 day return clause. I asked the agent where this clause was printed and was told it was in their website. (I have not been able to locate the website.) I voiced my frustration with their business practice and eventually they granted an $123.00 (80 US) refund that should be evident on my Visa in 2 - 4 days. I will monitor that this money actually arrives. I promised to report them to the ScamPulse.com.

I also contacted Shaw Cable to suggest they find better business partners for their surveys and was advised that they do not send out email requests for surveys and I was likely a victim of a phishing scam.

I accept my lack of due diligence, but also feel the company has hoped that most people do not pay attention to a buried return clause.
