3 years ago a guest staying in our house had her computer accessed whilst she was using it. She was not a tech person and unfortuneatley engaged with the scammers who proceeded to sell her protection for her computer at a cost of £500. She subsequently reported the scam and was able to get a small amount of money back. This person does not live at our house. Smart Support Connect continue to phone our number regularly despite being given the information. they are rude and persistent . How do I stop them or report them.

When asked why he was calling and the name of his company, the caller said he worked for Smart Support Direct and he was calling because we had some security problems and needed to turn our computer on. He claimed to have sorted out or computer in the past, and quoted an alleged customer number. We told him that no, we won't be turning our computer on, and would instead be reporting this as a scam call. The caller said "you are a mother [censored]er" and hung up.

I received a pop up on my computer that took up the entire screen, It showed Apple and phone number 888-401-0333. Pop up stated someone was trying to hack into my computer. If I don't call within five minutes that I could lose my credit cards, E mails and other information. I panicked and called the phone number.. My computer was frozen. I spoke with two men and a woman. They all had accents. Said they could clean my computer. They asked for mu passwords and I gave it out. They could clean my computer for $199. Requested my credit card number and I gave it out. this happened last Thursday March 9. I report it to the Police. My cousin told me it was a scam. I cancelled all credit cards. The $199 charge is being disputed. They called me yesterday twice. Hiein Yout was the persons name. They called back later. Said they were with smart Support Connect. I said the Police are handling this. it is a scam. She said no scam no scam.
