Type of a scam Online Purchase
Struggled to get clear communication, constantly asked to speak in person on the phone, with no success.
Red flags:
- Pictures showed a geography not consistent with breeders location.
- Could not get breeder on the phone.
- Breeder offered free delivery of puppies to home (claimed a person would fly with puppies and deliver, flight cost alone would be more than cost of puppy).
- Wanted to use Zelle for payment (first clue), Breeder got upset transfer would take 3 days not I’m immediate.
- Price was very low compared to all other breeders.
- In communications, Breeder kept asking for name and address and contact info (like he had so many people to talk to he could not keep track of everyone).
- Breeder did not provide address where puppies were located.
- Breeder did not offer medical records or show parental info for puppies.
- Breeder was more concerned with payment than with the quality of the home the puppies were going to.
We stopped payment just in time, Breeder tried to offer lower prices after we told them we were cancelling payment.
Heartbroken, but was too good to be true.
