I recently processed mail forwarding service on the USPS website. Since then, I have been enrolled in two subscription services without my knowledge or consent. Each of these services charged me 90 days after my mail forwarding request was processed. When I called customer service to inquire about these charges on my credit card I was told their services are a part of the USPS change of address process and they supposedly sent me e-mails confirming my enrollment. He also claimed I received an e-mail the day before my credit card was charged. This never happened. I checked both my primary inbox and junk inbox and never received any e-mails from this vendor. I was only made aware of my this subscription after I saw the charge on my credit card statement.
