I only did it because it was to have been refunded after the animal had been delivered. (yeah I know hmmm red flag)
Then the day the puppy was supposedly in-route, I received another email that they needed an additional $1320.00. At that point, all the items that I thought were a little off, became major red flags.
They were just dumb little things, that on their own were like a hmmm. And the answers I received seemed valid.
The address on the web page showed Illinois but the puppy was being flown in from PA, they had no phone number on the website, the dog I thought I was buying was still listed on the website as available.
All of that was explained away with: they just recently moved and the person who does all of the website updates was in a car accident and is in the hospital. Seemed feasible to me.
They provided me with phone numbers, of course I was dumb and never called them. When I did later - they would ring 6 times then get the fast busy.
(This was for both the breeder and the transport company.) And both have what appear to be “real” websites. I was smart enough to have sent money via credit card so have disputes filed and have received a portion back.
