I was contacted saying that my resume was forwarded to the HR Department. I was told to email [email protected]. Once done, I was told to instead add hangouts and message “Mrs Chrysta Luckett” and let her know I was interested. As the hangout interview proceeded, I grew increasingly suspicious. After the interview, I felt really uneasy so I began to research more (previously researched after initial email but nothing showed), I found a couple articles saying it was a scam or similar situations have scammed people. They claim to send you a payment in order to buy equipment for a mini home office. They said I would be sent a check, deposit it, and then I’d have to wait 24 hours before gaining access to it. I was suppose to report at 8 am this morning but I reported at 10 because I deleted the app so they wouldn’t be able to reach me.I began to ask questions. The person on the other side of the conversation had a snappy response, I wrote lol okay and was blocked. Now I can’t send messages through hangout and the email address no longer works. They have my name, address, and phone number but I’m lucky to have not given anything else. It’s scary having some random person have your information, but hopefully, nothing comes from it. If it does, I will sue and I advise anyone this happens to to do the same. Please be careful when job hunting people!
