I was contacted by these people via email in August 2022 promising a way to help me pay off my loan. Knowing that I owed a loan and that I would soon be in repayment status, it made sense that this email was in reference to that. These people not only had my email address but also the name of the school I attended & the last 4 digits of my ss#, so they definitely seemed legit. I was told that they could offer a way where I could pay a set fee of $145 for 6 months and that after that President Biden’s Loan program would kick in and the government would make payments to my loan for the next 9 months after that. This was shortly before Biden announced his debt relief which would pay off our loans completely. After agreeing to the first payment of $145 I informed them that I no longer wanted to remain in their program and requested my payment back. Since then,I have been either been given the run around or my calls have been ignored. Didn’t take too long after that to see that this company is bogus. It’s a shame that these clowns are scamming hardworking, unsuspecting people especially when everyone is trying to get back on their feet after covid. Not sure how at the moment but I definitely plan on pursuing this further.
