About a month ago, I received a call from a number not in my contacts. I always let those go to voicemail. The message said basically the same thing as others reported here (cold-call marketing script) I texted that the call was in violation of the National Do Not Call List -adding, “Remove me and do not contact again.” Then I blocked that number on my phone. Yesterday, I got a text from a number not in my contact list with the message: “Hi (my first name)”
I replied Who is this, please? And they replied: “ Hi! This is Katie from SimplyFastSold. I was wondering if you have plans to sell **** ********** Rd?”
I responded that I’d previously asked them not to contact me again. Then blocked the number on my cell phone.
-The problem is text messages do not violate the Do Not Call List!
Add that adjustment to the burgeoning list of things we need the Congress to do -IF the US Senate Republicans would quit violating the Constitution and just do their duty of working FOR citizens by actually legislating.instead of blocking literally everything!

I got a text that said, is this (my name). I was in the store and asked who it was. She said Katie from simply faft sold. She wanted to know if I wanted to sell my house and even included my address! I texted whoever it was to stop! Scary that these people know my address...

Someone named “Katie” contacted my saying hi and my name. I didn’t recognize the number in the text message. I do I ask who is it and I received the following message. “ Hi *******! I'm Katie from SimplyFastSold. I'm reaching out because I have an investor who wants to give you an all-cash offer for ***** *********** ******* Dr. Are you interested in selling?” I feel like my privacy has been violated. I have know idea how they obtained my address, phone number, and name.
