I received a delivery this morning from UPS. Upon opening the envelope, I found a letter that was supposedly sent by a research company hired by Walmart. There was also a fake check for $2900. The instructions were to cash the check at any of my bank branches after contacting my "batch supervisor". I was to keep $400 for doing the research, and an additional $100 for expenses, and get 3 money orders at my nearest Walmart(2 for $1000 and 1 for $400). If I completed the task within 48 hours, I would receive an additional $300 in the for of a Walmart gift card. As this sounded too good to be true, I contacted the ScamPulse.com by phone to inquire. It is a scam. Another sign that it was not legitimate was that it said that I signed up online which I did not. I did not lose any money, and I hope that this information helps someone else!
