During the process of looking for a job on indeed, I received a text message saying that my application and resume were approved for a position at siemens healthineers for a remote data entry job. The message said to talk to the hiring manager on Telegram so I proceeded to do so and this is that conversation attached in the pdf. Unfortunately, I don't really have much information on the scammer other than the Telegram messages, the check, and the paper I received in the mail. I did not realize it was a scam until after I received the check and deposited it in my account. After that they wanted me to send them money for the "office supplies" that I needed for the job but at this point, I knew something wasn't right. I began to worry that this was all a scam because I don't like sending money out and the email didn't make sense. I also never received any formal contact information or proper welcome email or phone call from anyone. At this point, the check had $4320.15 on it which is in my bank account. It shows the funds are available but I will not be touching it until the bank reaches out to clear it.
