I received a text to apply for a secret shopper for Walmart. Shortly after that I received a letter with instructions to complete my first assignment. Also within the priority mail was a check for $1,900.00. I was instructed to deposit the check into my checking account. Next I was to wait 12 - 24 hours until the check cleared. Once cleared I was to deduct $400.00 for my first week Payment. The remaining $1,550.00 I was to send it via Walmart 2 Walmart only to another secret shopper. They gave me the name Gabriel Cody, city-Waco state-Tx, zip code 76710. Next I am to get back to them immediately after I send the money. At that time I will give them a comprehensive report . They wanted the time I got to Walmart, how many minutes it took to get service, provide the id number, name of agent. Next they stated that the following information is required once the money is sent: full name of sender,Walmart 2 walmart 9-digit control number given to you by the agent after the no ey is sent, and they will be expecting details as soon as possible so that a new assignment can be assigned. The letter was signed by Vernell Therrien. This person also left her email address and phone number.

I decided to check them out and found this was a scam which others have reported. I hope there is some way to stop them from financially hurting another person. What do you do to stop them?
