This was the first time I ever experienced the scam job offers and they almost got me. It started with a 'recruiter' reaching out to me about yet again another role I did not apply for.

This is a work from home job, with the ability to work from anywhere in the US. We have a branch in Boston, Massachusetts. Our Company is also expanding into other states in the US market, and we are opening 4 offices in the following locations: Delaware - Rhodes Island - New Hampshire and Illinois.

The pay is between $35 - $65 per hour.

• Coordinating complex schedules by managing diaries, organising meetings and appointments, using your in-depth knowledge to proactively prioritise and de-conflict any clashes

• Responsible for managing high volume inboxes, by using own breadth of expertise to action incoming emails in a timely and professional manner

• Accountable for arranging travel, including forecasting costs, processing of expenses, and complying with our trade control and gift/hospitality policies

This is an Executive Assistant position and it is strictly an online and work from home job. The working hours are flexible and you can choose to work from anywhere of your choice. Our company is Located in Waltham, MA USA

Additional Information:

*This is a Full Time/Part Time Job. Overtime is 1.5 times above regular pay.

I used ChatGPT to draft a bunch of nonsense answers for the interview questions (very long responses I may add and not even 10-20 minutes later I received this response meaning no one took the time to read them):

Here is where I got them, I began to ask multiple questions to dig deeper into the role, even questions as simple as 'who is the person I will be assisting'. If the job were real, it would be as easy as looking up the staff member on the Interwell Health website, but of course I was never given any responses. They did however respond to my question about direct deposit.

We kindly request that you review the documents carefully, and when you are satisfied with the details, complete the necessary fields, sign and date them, and email them back to us for processing. The required documents include your Employment Letter, Direct Deposit information, W-4 form, and Proof of Address (Bank Statement, Internet, Phone, Water, or Electricity Bill) in PDF format. Please also provide a means of identification (Identity Card, Driver's License, Front & Back copy) in JPG or PNG format, as well as one picture photograph of yourself in JPG or PNG format. The means of identification should be on a white background paper and all information should be clear and readable.

The funds for the software will be provided for you by the company via check, the check will cover for the software as well the equipment for your mini office ..... make sure you use them as instructed for the software, okay ?

You will get started with work ASAP, The company will provide you an apple laptop with a fast internet connection and your i9 form will be coming along with the working materials you need to start working with. You are to purchase all your materials from a certified vendor we have been patronizing for years now. So, I suppose the name you provided is the same on your bank info....?

Once you receive the check you are needed to have it deposited to your bank account ,Then the funds will be credited and available in your account. NOTE: All software is to be purchased from the software office the company has been buying from for years now.

Once the working software is installed into the Brand-new apple laptop, we would be providing you.

Now this is where I stopped everything. No legitimate company would ever ask an employee to send their direct deposit information through email, nor would they 'send them a check' to buy equipment.
