The scam company is called Shipping-Solution.com, which is suppose to be located in 48 West 21st Street, New York, NY 10010. When you Google search the address, it is very hard trying to find Shipping-Solution.com. The people that they have on their website, you can't find them on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. And when you call the company, no one answers. They posted a job on Glassdoor for the Philadelphia, PA area and I applied and I got hired after a phone interview with them. I gave them my I-9, W-4, checking account #, routing #, and social security # through an email. My so-called job title was Package Handler (basically a middleman for the company) and I was suppose to resend packages to Polar Express in Englishtown, NJ. Then Polar Express sends out packages to Russia. My identity was stolen from Shipping-Solution.com. I was basically hired for a fake job. I got emails and pictures that I could share with you guys so that it could be more helpful in the investigation. I believe that individuals of any age are getting their identity stolen getting their money lost through identity theft.

I applied for a remote package handler position on glassdoor.com The post stated that it pay $20 per hour for part-time work with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The next day I received a response from Benjamin Wood asking me to complete an application and log into their website to select dates and times for my interview. The interviewer that called me was named Elizabeth but she called me an hour after the timeframe I had scheduled. She was foreign from Brazil or possibly India. She did not ask me any questions about myself but rather restated what the position job description was from Glassdoor. The next day I received another email stating I have the job offer and that it would pay $2000 per month for three hours per day of work. While I was thrilled about the minimum hours and great pay, it seemed odd. I checked their website for details. It was unclear what specifically this company provided as a value add to others. I became more suspicious when there were no links near pictures of the "leaders" of the company to find more information about them. There simplistic names of Lenard Webb, Laura Gardner, Jonas Byrd, and Peter Houston seemed too vanilla. Even my assigned manager's name was simplistic: William Denson.

I scoured the internet for the above names and the company name Shipping-Solution and found NOTHING. Lastly, I called Benjamin's number directly and the company number on their website. It just rang continuously with a quick starter or I received an operator recorded message stating "all circuits are busy.". This occurred over a weeks time frame October 13 to October 21, 2017.

On October 21 and 23, I received two emails from Benjamin would reminding me to sign into their CRM tool. Upon doing so I saw that they wanted me to upload my drivers license and a utility bill. I became more suspicious. I called the number again to my surprise it rang normally. After listening to a recorded "office is closed message", I was given an opportunity to select among for options to leave a message. I cannot recall the precise option I selected but I left a message. Within minutes, received a call from 646–8 01–6985. Luckily I had saved Elizabeth's call number in my phone so I knew it was her. We spoke and I voiced my confusion that I had called the direct number/Benjamin's phone number yet she was the one that returned my call. She explained that she was a call center " operator " returning the voicemail. That struck me as odd because she was also the person that called to interview me. I did not share that with her but explained that I wanted to talk to Benjamin regarding concern about the identification they wanted uploaded. She explained that they needed that to verify my person and location since they would be sending other people's packages to me. Please note, I was not provided any W-2 information or formal United States employment forms.

I asked if it was possible to speak with other remote package handlers in my area, and she said she could not provide that information. She suggested I send Benjamin Wood an email. I sent the email then began searching again about remote package handling scams. I came across some. Apparently the scam is that people/ fraudulent company will ship packages to me with stolen merchandise for me to forward on to another.

I'm glad that I trusted my instincts and hope this post will help others. Here are some other links they provided me to upload contact or access their CRM tool.
