Beautiful websight. I called, and they told me the Shih Tzu I had asked about was still for sale. My wife and I filled out an application and they asked some inconsequential questions. Within hours, I was told that the dog was ours if we paid them $250 deposit plus $150 shipping (to anywhere in USA). They listed the EXACT methods of pay they would accept. I had not of the forms mentioned, and he/she quickly turned down the credit card, bank check or personal check. When I wasn't able to get the Venmo they highly recommended, they told me to go to either CVS or Walgreen's and buy a "$500" American Express gift card. We insisted we would give them only $250 until the contract was signed. They didn't say if they would accept the lower amount, but when I sent a Walgreen's Amex card, they quickly cashed it in. Two hours later, when I was having suspicions, I checked with Amex Corp., who told me the gift card now had a three cent balance. Natch, we never got a contract. I belatedly knew we had been scammed. Quite embarrassing. When I e-mailed them to tell them I would be in the West Virginia area and would pick up the dog myself, I got no response. In retrospect, this scam had my name all over it. I did everything wrong the petscam people had warned against. The same puppies were on several websites, the "discounted prices" were much too low, the e-mails sent specifically to us had atrocious spelling and grammar, the puppy which I had bought was still available the following week when a friend sent an inquiry to them, although I was assured the puppy was 8 weeks old, he was shown in front of a Christmas tree (5 months earlier). I could go on and on. Cannot believe that this college educated couple was taken so easily. Am only glad we didn't send them any additional money. I feel so sorry for those who lost so much of their hard earned savings to these shysters. Too bad they all can't be caught, arrested, serve time and replace their stolen loot.
