Sherri Pigeon is selling a modular home for a Silvain Duchene, located at 244 Alpine drive, WinterHaven, Fl. In Swiss Village 55+community. She is taking deposits for the sale of the home, and thereafter, refusing to allow access for inspections, when an inspection did occur she was incredibly hostile and unprofessional with our inspector and ended up throwing him out of the home prior to him finishing and went as far as to threaten with law enforcement if we did not vacate the premises. She wanted us to pay her 15 dollars an hour to stay for completion. Once outside the premises, she continued to verbally assault our inspector and insisted we leave. She was highly unprofessional. At this point she yelled at us (Claude Grenier is also a buyer with me) and told us she would not be back for any other the other inspections we had scheduled, that we would not be allowed back in or in the promises until after she saw us at closing. We notified the owner (Silvain Duchene) of all the incidences we experienced with his seller, he refused in intervene, telling us he doesn’t really know her, it’s her husband, Steve Pigeon who does his home upkeep/improvements, etc. he knows well and therefore is using his wife to sell his home for him. Silvain is in Canada. After the incident with our inspector, we notified seller we could not close the offer with her because we did not feel safe. He assured us he would call Jean from Jean’s resale to find us a closer. Two days later he sent us a text saying he was putting his house back for sale and wished us good luck. He has since refused to answer phone calls or text messages, as has his seller, Sherri Pigeon. They stole our deposit of $1,000. We reported them to the CRF attorney, who claims he couldn’t do anything about who sells in their parks. We’ve also reported them to the Polk County Sheriffs, with no recourse. These individuals are preying on the elderly and disabled. They need to be stopped and held accountable.
