The scammer called into spectrum and tried to have my SIM card switched too their device. First attempt failed however they went online with customer agent and were successful. The hackers then gain acres to my bank accounts, cash app, pay pal , open a CD account up in my name. They purchased merchandise online - however I was able to stop payment on that. The hacker stole my identity and now I may need a new ss number. I feel Spectrum needs to do a better job- especially raising red flags . This hacker has caused me to have tremendous stress- I have missed 2 Days from work . I called spectrum for some type of compensation- representative was very heartless. She offered me 20.00 and asked what did I want them to do. Then she stated I already have 2 free lines on my plan. However the first line was a promotion given to me a year ago. The second is due to Apple watch I purchased nothing to do with hacking.. I want other customers to be aware - I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.
