I applied for a mystery shopping job through Linkedin. They were looking for shoppers in my area. After I applied I received an email saying I had been accepted and they needed some more information. Which I sent to them by email. After that I got instructions by email and a cashiers check by mail. The check was bogus and fortunately I had not sent them the money.
