I received a phone call from a local number, when I answered it, the lady said, "This is Shannon calling on a recorded line." When I said, hello, the caller continued to talk about insurance and REALLY confused me because I genuinely thought it was Shannon Medical Center calling on a recorded line. This was not just a scam, but an impersonation of a trusted health care provider in in San Angelo! I am very sure that other recipients of this call were coerced into hearing a high pressure, trickster of a salesman, try to sell them some insurance. In retrospect, I wish I had followed through with it and gathered more information.
