I sought out for a mechanic and was later recommended Shak A Tech by a friend. I decided to give them a chance. I spoke with the Co-owner (Ginna) and agreed to drop off my vehicle. It was recommended to leave my vehicle for a days time to find any/all issues with my vehicle. The following day Ginna called me and listed everything that needed to be serviced for $1,481.49 i agreed after she guaranteed i would have warranty on the parts. When picking up the vehicle after paying for the alleged repairs were made, I received a receipt for the services and manual input of the cost of the parts. I requested for a copy of the receipt for the parts that were ordered from the dealership that Ginna said they ordered and placed into my vehicle. She stalled, looking for 30 mins for this receipt and said she would email the receipt to me since she couldn't find it then. She told me to send my email through text to her personal number to which i texted her my email a first time. Ginna stated i needed to drive the vehicle to ensure the issue was resolved and no codes show up any longer. After 2 days a code showed up and i returned my vehicle to Shak A Tech, where they checked the code. The code was the same code that showed up before and Ginna stated that since i had warranty on the parts, would replace the parts again. It was at this time that i reminded the Ginna that i never received an email with the receipt from the dealership, Ginna said that she would have that ready when i came in the next day for the repairs. The next day i spent 2 hours at their shop while the mechanics did the repairs, i asked Ginna for this dealership receipt again. She said she would give me this receipt no problem and said it just slipped her mind. After the vehicle was repaired again she stated i had to drive the car to be sure everything was fixed. I drove my vehicle again on this same day and a light showed up on my dash. I brought my vehicle back and it was checked again and the same code as before showed up. Ginna stated it was probably another part that again i had warranty for since it was a dealership part, I again asked Ginna for the dealership receipt to where she asked me to text her my email address to her for the second time. Later this same day i called Ginna to remind her to send this receipt to me and texted her my email address for the second time. It has been 2 weeks since and Ginna never sent me this dealership receipt. I called all of the dealerships for the make of my vehicle in the area to confirm whether or not my parts were order from their dealership providing the name, phone, and address of Shak A Tech. All of the dealerships confirmed my suspicion that Shak A Tech never ordered the dealership parts for my vehicle, and yet i was charged for dealership parts price which is almost double the amount of generic aftermarket parts. My vehicle is still not smog ready with the same issues i had before i brought it into Shak A Tech, and am not entirely positive if Shak A Tech even did any repairs on my vehicle.
